Netfilmmakers has existed on the Internet since October 2004, and by August 2006 Netfilmmakers consists of 8 editions with all in all 24 original contemporary pieces of netfilm and net.videoart. The themes for the editions has been ”Territory”, ”Schein”, ”Memory Box”, ”Gravitas”, ”Game of Navigation”, ”Rhythm”, ”The Pathology of EverydayLife” and ”Docu-Slash”. With the themes, Netfilmmakers wants to address and challenge different ways of working with form and content. The netfilms and net.videoart presented online span from interactive narratives, super short linear narratives, impressionistic pieces, ”life stories”, films using spatial montage, stop motion and animation to pieces working with the documentary-genre. Recently Netfilmmakers also includes sound art-pieces and is encouraging collaboration between digital visual artists and digital sound-artists.
