SPARK AS ART SPARK is by now a mere tumbling toddler of three years of age, learning to walk in the terrain of art. Spark is a gallery that focuses on work by art photographers, video artists, and documentarists. Spark is a gallery run by six photographers and artists. Spark is located in Nørrebro, Copenhagen. Alongside the gallery, Spark is a creative workshop and meeting place for photographers and visual artists. Our exhibitions focus on young and upcoming artists, some of which are recent graduates from art academies and schools across Europe and Scandinavia. Our intention is to bring to the local consciousness a greater understanding and appreciation for photography as an art of image as well as imagination. We exist as an alternative venue to more established institutions as well as being only one of a handful of galleries that focus primarily on the photographic image in Denmark.
