B_Tour is a platform for artistic urban tours and urban practices and is curated and managed by Christin Endter and Yael Sherill. The tours provide locals with a new perspective of their city and inspire community life and civil participation. B_Tours provide an intimate setting for an exchange with a group of strangers based on a common shared interest in one’s city. Participants develop a better understanding and empathy to their city in general and their neighbourhood in particular as well as the people who inhabit it.
For Alt_Cph16 Crosscuts B_Tour trains locals from the Sundholm area in guiding and storytelling. As a participant in the tours during Alt_Cph you will experience a deeply personal guided tour in the locals’ own neighbourhood.
B_Tour was established in 2013 as a curatorial platform for artistic urban tours by Christin Endter and Yael Sherill. B_Tour invites local and international city inhabitants, artists, architects and activists to apply different methodologies of artistic research in order to reflect on current issues concerning urban life and public spaces. B_Tour has been working with approx. 100 projects in Berlin, Belgrade and Leipzig. B_Tour also curated a series of panel discussions about current urban matters called B_Talks; a public screening program, workshops, networking events and special programs for young people.
