Black Quantum Futurism (US)

Black Quantum Futurism (est. US, 2014) is an interdisciplinary creative practice between Camae Ayewa and Rasheedah Phillips that weaves together quantum physics, afrofuturism, and Afrodiasporic concepts of time, ritual, text, and sound. Black Quantum Futurism has created a number of community-based projects, performances, experimental music projects, installations, workshops, books, short films, zines, and the award-winning Community Futures Lab. The Collective has presented, exhibited, and performed at Red Bull Arts New York, USA, Philadelphia Museum of Art, USA, MOMA PS1, USA, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, USA, Bergen Kunsthall, Norway, Serpentine Gallery, United Kingdom and Institute of Contemporary Arts: ICA, United Kingdom, and more.
